Managing in the Era of Uncertainty
Aligned with the Academy’s goal of assisting western water and energy managers’ decision making in this era of climate uncertainty, the Academy has recently launched a resource page. Currently, we offer monthly webinars featuring new tools, success stories and learning with peers.
The Academy is exploring the possibility of offering additional resource methods including in-person trainings, advanced training and a certificate program.
We are also exploring content areas and sector specific trainings: For example, a training specifically for set of water managers in southern California with a common set of interests and potential set of tools. In some cases, it could be possible to have the authors of the tools present at the training sessions to explain how their tools can best be applied to the real-world situations described by training participants, and to receive feedback on the effectiveness of their tools.
These trainings would build on the information contained on the Academy site including the peer-to-peer learning community. For example, training participants to stay engaged with a broader community of people who are using the same sets of tools through the website discussion forum or feedback mechanisms.
Sign up for updates on new features and offerings. And contact us with your thoughts on potential trainings.
